Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Butcher to join our team. As the Head Butcher, you will lead our meat department, ensuring the highest quality of products and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee daily operations of the butchery department, including staff management and scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, Halal requirements, and local regulations
  • Expertly cut, prepare, and display a wide variety of meats according to customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain relationships with meat suppliers
  • Train and mentor junior butchers in proper cutting techniques and customer service
  • Provide expert advice to customers on meat selection, preparation, and cooking methods
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures for all meat products
  • Collaborate with other departments to create special offerings and promotions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new products or techniques as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation methods, and butchery techniques
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic computer skills for ordering systems
