Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Baker to join our Main Kitchen team in Baghdad, Iraq. As the Head Baker, you will lead our bakery operations, creating delicious baked goods while managing a team of skilled bakers.

  • Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring high-quality products and efficient processes
  • Develop and implement new recipes, focusing on both local and international baking traditions
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain cost-effective operations
  • Train and supervise bakery staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with other kitchen departments to support overall culinary operations
  • Monitor and maintain baking equipment, scheduling repairs as needed
  • Participate in menu planning and special event preparations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience, with a proven track record in leadership roles
  • Advanced knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, and scaling
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining various kitchen and bakery equipment
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and current health regulations
  • Excellent inventory management and cost control skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
