As a Group Reservations Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring flawless execution for conferences, events, and group stays. You’ll work closely with our Sales and Conference Services teams to transform client expectations into seamless guest experiences, all while developing your career within Fairmont’s legendary culture of excellence.
Starting Rate: $21.18 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.65
Job Duties Include:
- Support Group Organizers and Conference Services Managers by coordinating all room-related requests and group reservations
- Manage group rooming lists, contracts, rates, billing, and inventory across Opera Cloud, CRS, and GroupMax/Passkey
- Monitor and respond to group inquiries via email, phone, and voicemail in a timely and professional manner
- Run daily and weekly reports, audit group blocks and pickup, and proactively flag any discrepancies or inventory concerns
- Collaborate with Sales, Conference Services, Front Office, Accounting, and Reservations teams to ensure group needs are met or exceeded

Your Skills & Qualifications:
- 12-month commitment to the role
- Previous reservations or hotel operations experience is an asset
- Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Proficiency in Opera Property Management System (PMS); knowledge of Passkey/GroupMax is an asset
- Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Professional to presentation and the ability perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends, and the ability to sit for extended periods
