Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation and service in the appointed kitchen(s), according to the standards set by the Management.

  • Keep the assigned kitchen stocked up daily with raw materials and ingredients.
  • Know how to use all kitchen equipment safely, both electrical and mechanical.
  • Be confident with basic cooking skills like chopping and prepping for your station each day.
  • Cook food following standard recipes, making sure to control portions and reduce waste.
  • Follow hotel food safety and hygiene rules (HACCP) at all times.
  • Clean and take care of all equipment in the food prep area.
  • Quickly let your supervisor know if you spot any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment that needs fixing.

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

  • Minimum High School Certificate ; certification in Culinary, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia , or a Diploma in Culinary will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity is preferred; however, recent graduates with the required certifications are also encouraged to apply.
  • Oral proficiency in English language is required.
