    Job Description

    Join Canada’s Western Mountain Region Sales Team and represent the top five resorts in Western Canada, Fairmont Banff Springs, Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Reporting to the Area Director, Group Sales for Fairmont Banff Springs and Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading sales initiatives within the given market to ensure goals at each property are exceeded. This individual should be experienced, creative and positive!

    This is position is specifically for 35 rooms or less, for small meetings. This is also a maternity coverage position, starting in mid-June for 18 months. 

    Competitive Salary: $79,000-$80,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

    Job Duties Include:

    Reporting to the Area Director of Group Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Exceed personal sales quota (revenue and activities), on behalf of all hotels in the Mountain Region
    • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment for short lead programs
    • Have an aptitude to work with all types of business and adapt your selling style to the business (ie, Social, C-level mtgs, sport groups, etc)
    • Responsible for driving guest room ADR, while confirming F&B and ancillary spend
    • Actively prospect new business and develop key accounts on behalf of the region
    • Conduct routine & timely calls on a specific set of accounts within the Canadian market    
    • Follow-up with all departments ensuring delivery of hotels promised services
    • Collect market & competitive intelligence to access and implement strategy and long-term goals
    • Develop and implement quarterly action plans
    • Maintain an effective record of correspondence
    • Participation and contribution in Sales Meetings
    • Participate in training, industry trade shows and sales trips, as required, very limited

    Qualifications

    Your Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years hospitality sales experience
    • Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree is a bonus
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Sales professional with a professional, positive and team focused approach to goal attainment
    • Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days
