Job Description

Oversees and supports the Canadian and US hotels in their implementation of Ceridian Dayforce’s HCM System, in addition to enhancing and optimizing current application.

Implementation (30%)

  • Lead and advise North and Central America region hotels’ Talent & Culture, Finance and Operational teams with best practices to integrate employee's lifecycle management with Ceridian Dayforce
  • Lead project team comprised of HR Data Analyst, Payroll Lead and GL/Unifocus Analyst, business stakeholders and Ceridian Consultants
  • Guides the property on the requirements of the Ceridian Discovery Workbook and instructs them on how to complete the workbook to ensure the following are identified and detailed for the Ceridian database configuration team:
    • rules and policies pertaining to scheduling, timekeeping, punch policies, time off entitlements
    • the property’s on-site departments, departments, jobs, positions,
    • payroll earnings and deductions codes
    • legislative, regulatory and/or union rules
    • benefits configuration
  • Partners with Ceridian configuration team to clarify any property policies or rules defined in the property’s discovery workbooks
  • Tracks change requests from properties and evaluates need for system configuration change versus need to adopt current system set-up
  • Assists properties by auditing HR and payroll data submissions prior to Ceridian loading data into testing and production sites
  • Hosts user acceptance testing (UAT) and payroll parallel testing kick-off call with the properties - providing training, expectations & timelines
  • Hosts the weekly testing calls with the properties - answering questions on the scenarios & testing, troubleshoots issues and assists properties with fixes
  • Works with the Ceridian team to resolves configuration and back end solutions for issues found during UAT and payroll parallel testing
  • Ensure Integrations team is meeting project timeline and providing weekly status updates to Director, HCM Solutions
  • Provides first-line support to properties as they proceed through their first 2 “go-live” pay commits.
  • Ensures properties actively work toward clearing outstanding implementation issues to transition from implementation to “ongoing support”

Projects (50%)

  • Provide support in planning, testing and implementing application upgrades
  • Review and evaluate feasibility of new system feature and enhancement requests from hotels.
  • Works cross-functionally with team members within the group as appropriate to facilitate the roll-out and deployment of additional interfaces or integrations
  • All Mergers and Acquisitions where system implementation is required
  • Create systems enhancement training plan and documentation
  • Deliver training to business stakeholders and end-users
  • Track change requests from projects and evaluate need for system configuration changes
  • Collaborated with third-party consultants to ensure effective knowledge transfer and confirm their understanding of project management fundamentals.
  • Provide regular status updates to Director, HCM Solutions on all project timelines

Dayforce Support (10%)

  • Assist with complex system configuration requirements, Value Added Service and On Demand Service
  • Understands and respond proactively to business needs as they apply to the usage and support of restricted systems and/ or applications
  • Track change requests from properties and evaluate need for system configuration changes
  • Assist with ticket intakes when volumes increase
  • Ensure solid relationships between support and integration team members

Staff and Vendor Management (10%)

  • Effectively manage a small integration team
  • Maintains effective working relationships with all levels at the property as well as Corporate
  • Coordinate with other support staff, helping them to resolve more complex issues and technical situations
  • Monitor vendor performance, SLA adherence
  • Be the primary point of contact for the vendors during the management of major incidents

 

This role will be required to travel approximately 30% within the year


Qualifications

  • Hands on experience supporting and maintaining Dayforce environments and applications
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Payroll
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • 1-2 years management experience
  • Implementation experience a must
  • US payroll experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and implement HR system deployment across the organization
  • Ability to handle complex business problems within the context of technical solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support calls with minimal direction
  • Experience using MS Excel to combine, integrate and review data - comfort with the xml format a definite asset 
  • Exceptional time management and project management skills
  • Ability to lead, collaborate & work effectively within cross functional teams
  • Ability to simplify documentation and technical information for the larger non-technical audience
  • Experience developing training guides, processes, and reference documents as well as delivering training workshops, webinars, and other learning tools
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate easily and effectively in multiple media and to all levels of the company
