Job Description

About the Role! 

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s maintenance systems.

As a Maintenance Technician reporting to the Chief Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating on and following the hotel’s maintenance plans, including preventative, predictive, and reactive tasks.
  • Maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures, and fittings to the highest standards.
  • Communicating and working closely with all hotel departments to ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out effectively and on time.
  • Identifying and resolving potential maintenance issues before they become problems, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment.
  • Upholding safety protocols and ensuring the asset remains in optimal condition, providing a pleasant and safe atmosphere for all guests and staff.
  • Rotating roster across Monday - Sunday.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Previous “hands-on” maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or facilities management environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a drive for achieving high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships within the hotel team and address guest needs.
  • Effective time management and the ability to respond promptly to urgent tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with the ability to adapt to daily operational needs.
  • A solid understanding of Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
  • Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
