Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative IT Assistant to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's technology infrastructure and providing excellent customer service to end-users. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our systems.

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support tickets
  • Assist in the administration of user accounts and access permissions
  • Conduct basic network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
  • Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and software applications
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Basic understanding of network administration and IT security principles
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
