•           84 Lushury Rooms (60 m²) – 5 inter-leading pairs        

•           4 Beach Suites (100 m²)

•           2 Beach Suites Family (110 m² with an alcove for 2 children)

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Human Resources Manager to join our team in Sofitel SO Mauritius. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organization's culture, driving employee engagement, and implementing strategic talent management initiatives.

  • Develop and execute the annual HR Department Business Plan, aligning it with overall organizational goals
  • Lead recruitment efforts to meet talent needs, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and best practices
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning
  • Drive HR solutions such as reward and recognition programs, employee wellbeing initiatives, and leadership development
  • Manage the salary review process and ensure competitive compensation practices
  • Analyze HR metrics and employee feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with department heads to address staffing needs and optimize workforce planning
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and positive work environment that aligns with the company's values and culture
  • Stay updated on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/Hotel Management
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources Management experience in hospitality industry
  • Thorough understanding of Mauritian employment legislation
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English/French language 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
