Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of our luxury hotel, ensuring compliance, profitability, and financial integrity.

  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans, annual budgets, and long-term forecasts
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability
  • Oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, credit, audit, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, local regulations, and international accounting standards
  • Develop and implement robust financial control systems and procedures
  • Act as the primary liaison with hotel ownership, auditors, banks, legal advisors, and tax authorities
  • Monitor and manage hotel cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounting team
  • Collaborate with all departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis
  • Evaluate and monitor capital investments (CAPEX) and ensure expected ROI is achieved
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; professional accounting or finance designation preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in hotel accounting or audit, with at least two years in a Financial Controller or similar supervisory role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including a solid understanding of financial valuation methodology
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel accounting management duties and luxury hospitality financial operations
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills would be advantageous
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to relocate to AlUla, Saudi Arabia
  • preferably with previous experience with Accor & resort experience

Additional Information

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
