Job Description

Job Title: Executive Housekeeper
Location: St Andrews, Fife
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Step into a leadership role at the heart of our guest experience. As Executive Housekeeper, you’ll oversee the presentation and cleanliness of our guest rooms, ensuring every stay is memorable. You’ll inspire and guide a dedicated team, maintaining the highest standards of luxury while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of a large housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and comfort.

  • Conduct daily briefings with your team, highlighting VIP arrivals and setting goals to drive excellence.

  • Regularly inspect guest rooms to guarantee flawless presentation and create unforgettable guest moments.

  • Work closely with other hotel departments to deliver seamless service across the guest journey.

  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to your team, supporting both quality outcomes and career growth.

  • Collaborate with our in-house laundry team to keep operations smooth and efficient.

  • Keep guests top of mind, tailoring the housekeeping service to meet their individual needs.

  • Take responsibility for recruiting, training, and nurturing new talent within the department.

  • Manage payroll, budgets, and forecasts effectively.

  • Safeguard and manage lost-and-found procedures with diligence.

  • Keep up-to-date with competitor standards to maintain our competitive edge.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support the team and hotel success.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • A warm, approachable, and caring personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a Housekeeping Management role, with a track record of delivering high standards.

  • Strong ability to anticipate guest needs and consistently provide a professional, welcoming service.

  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy operation effectively.
