Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Finance to lead our financial operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior management to drive financial excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organization's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with collaborative leadership, fostering a culture of transparency, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all financial functions.

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Develop and manage comprehensive annual budgets and operational cash flow forecasts, providing strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and long-term financial health
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes professional development and accountability
  • Implement and maintain robust systems of internal accounting controls to ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and Saudi Arabia statutory requirements
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and variance analyses for management and stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations in a clear and transparent manner
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
  • Conduct monthly and year-end reconciliations of all general ledger balances and bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Review and validate all internal and external financial reporting before distribution, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee tax compliance and ensure all tax-related matters are handled in strict accordance with local legislation and best practices
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and operational costs, providing actionable insights to support cost control initiatives and revenue optimization
  • Review and evaluate proposed contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and protecting organizational interests
  • Prepare the organization for internal and external audits, maintaining comprehensive documentation and demonstrating readiness for audit exercises
  • Collaborate with operational departments to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and drive organizational efficiency
  • Stay current with financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices, implementing innovations that enhance financial processes and reporting
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management within the scope of the finance function

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting management, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent senior leadership position
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with financial management software and accounting systems; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliation
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures
  • Solid knowledge of Saudi Arabia tax regulations, labor laws, and financial compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Strategic thinking capability with a focus on organizational profitability and operational efficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining independence and objectivity in financial matters
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
