What do we expect from you?

Mondrian Abu Dhabi is poised to become the next iconic destination, and we’re searching for a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing & PR to lead the pre-opening phase. In this pivotal role, you will be at the helm of shaping and elevating the brand's presence, crafting compelling marketing strategies and public relations initiatives that position Mondrian Abu Dhabi as a standout luxury destination. Your leadership will ensure that Mondrian’s signature blend of creativity, culture, and style resonates at every touchpoint, from digital platforms to media relations. You will oversee the seamless execution of all marketing initiatives, ensuring Mondrian’s unique identity is consistently communicated and experienced by both local and international audiences. As the Director of Marketing & PR, you’ll ensure that all marketing efforts embody the essence of Mondrian, leaving an indelible mark on guests, stakeholders, and the local community positioning it as the destination of choice from the moment it opens its doors.

How your day looks like:

  • Design and execute comprehensive annual marketing plans to elevate brand awareness and drive revenue growth across hotel rooms, F&B outlets, wellness offerings, and events, targeting both local and international markets.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation across key revenue streams for maximum ROI.
  • Collaborate with Brand Operations and Revenue leaders to set objectives and create innovative marketing solutions, tracking performance and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Champion the Mondrian brand ensuring its essence is consistently conveyed across all guest touchpoints, ensuring brand consistency from pre-visit to post-visit, and maintaining approved onsite OS&E.
  • Lead the creation of unique, culturally inspired guest experiences, fostering relationships with off-property partners to enhance the hotel’s property offerings.
  • Align with Sales team to develop brand-consistent collateral, communicating the property’s value to key business audiences.
  • In partnership with Revenue Management to develop and implement promotional campaigns that support demand periods and oversee OTA advertising efforts.
  • Collaborate with the global e-Commerce team to optimize paid media campaigns and continuously assess marketing performance to ensure alignment with business KPIs.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with the global Public Relations team and regional PR agencies to enhance the hotel's visibility, positioning, and media presence.
  • Ensure all digital content, including the hotel’s website, is current and reflects the brand’s core values, while guiding the global Social Media team on content creation and overseeing the strategic direction of annual email campaigns.
  • Oversee and approve media, influencer, and press visits, ensuring all engagements are executed in alignment with the brand’s messaging and standards.

This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and a focus on crafting exceptional brand experiences, while driving brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing and PR management, with at least 3 years in a Director-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
  • Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
  • Prior pre-opening experience is highly preferred, with a strong brand orientation, with the ability to understand and connect with customer needs, drive brand loyalty, and maintain credibility and accountability.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Inspirational leadership abilities, uniting teams around common goals while consistently striving for excellence in both creative and financial outcomes.
  • Solid experience in managing marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and delivering impactful, high-return marketing initiatives.
  • Deep passion for delivering exceptional brand experiences and creating memorable luxury offerings.
  • Expertise in luxury hospitality trends and the latest marketing strategies to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including paid media, SEO, and social media management.
  • Experience working with PR agencies, influencers, and media to generate brand awareness and visibility.
  • A creative mindset, coupled with a data-driven approach to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness.
