We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team in Mumbai, India. As a Commis, you'll be the backbone of our culinary operations, working alongside experienced chefs to deliver exceptional dishes that create memorable dining experiences. ✔️ Prepare and process ingredients according to established recipes and organizational standards, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes
✔️ Collaborate effectively with the Chef and kitchen team members to ensure seamless service and maintain the highest standards of food quality
✔️ Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols to ensure all food handling meets regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines
✔️ Manage kitchen inventory by monitoring stock levels, verifying product expiration dates, and participating in ordering processes using FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology
✔️ Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation before, during, and after each service, including proper cleaning and storage of all equipment and tools
✔️ Execute mise en place preparation for all kitchen stations and plating requirements to support smooth service operations
✔️ Contribute innovative ideas and suggestions for new dishes and culinary techniques, demonstrating your creativity and commitment to continuous improvement
✔️ Remain calm, focused, and resilient during high-pressure service periods, adapting quickly to changing priorities while maintaining quality standards
✔️ Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff at all levels
✔️ Foundational knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations
✔️ Demonstrated experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment, with a proven ability to execute recipes with precision and attention to detail
✔️ Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles; HACCP certification or equivalent food safety training is preferred
✔️ Proficiency in inventory management and familiarity with stock control systems and FIFO methodology
✔️ Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service periods
✔️ Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks
✔️ Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining consistent quality in all culinary outputs
✔️ Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward learning and professional development
✔️ Flexibility and adaptability to changing menu requirements, service demands, and kitchen procedures
