Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade at Spice Central Kitchen & Bar. This role is responsible for food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality dishes across all service periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Ensure mise en place is prepared and stocked for service.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Assist with stock rotation and minimising wastage.
  • Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate and reliable team player who is eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their culinary career or looking to build on existing experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
