Commis Chef - Ibis Wellington

This robust hotel offers consistency and efficiency for large groups with generous vibrant Vivant restaurant dining spaces, offering a big buffet breakfast, and a la carte lunch and dinner.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook dishes to high standards across different sections of the kitchen
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and a clean, organised workspace
• Work closely with the team and supervisor to manage daily requirements
• Minimise waste and support cost control
• Contribute ideas to improve service and efficiency
• Ensure safe practices and follow hotel health & safety guidelines

This is a part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, offering flexibility to take on additional shifts depending on your availability and hotel demand. Earn $27.68 per hour while building your experience in a supportive team environment.

• Passion for food and a strong work ethic
• Previous experience in a similar role (à la carte experience preferred)
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver consistent quality
• A flexible team player, available to work on a rotating roster (7 days)
• NZ residency or a permanent NZ work visa (sponsorship not available)
