Seeking a skilled, confident, and creative chef to lead the breakfast team and service. You will oversee the restaurants buffet breakfast service as well as a la carte in-room dining. This is your chance to showcase your talent in an environment that values quality, innovation, and teamwork.


Job Description

  • Lead the breakfast kitchen brigade supervising and setting a positive example for the team
  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure all food preparation and plating is executed efficiently and meets presentation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of breakfast station and kitchen areas in line with HACCP procedures
  • Assist in stock management and inventory control while managing costs
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
  • Uphold and enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
  • Foster our culture of engagement within the culinary team with a focus on training and development, supported by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, specialising in breakfast service in a hotel environment advantageous
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced service
  • A passion for quality ingredients, presentation, and delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Strong knowledge of modern breakfast cooking techniques, recipes, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Trade qualifications from a culinary school.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Current unrestricted Australian working rights
