ASSISTANT F&B MANAGER (m/f/x)

Start Date: August 1, 2025
Location: Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic

In Marianske Lazne, we are opening a premium hotel with 125 rooms and suites, featuring the 105 Dining Lounge, The Bohemian Bar, our SwissCafé, and the rooftop "Pod Oblaky" Lifestyle Lounge. The hotel will also include three conference rooms and a boardroom. Another highlight will be the Purovel Spa & Sport, combining Swiss precision with the spa tradition of Marianske Lazne.

What will you do?

  • Team leadership and support – You’ll be involved in shift planning, attendance tracking, onboarding new colleagues, and motivating the team. Your goal will be to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.

  • Service quality oversight – You’ll make sure every guest leaves with an exceptional experience, whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a conference event – always in line with the five-star standards of Swissôtel and Accor.

  • Operational support and coordination – You’ll respond to day-to-day operational needs, assist the team during busy periods, and ensure smooth service across the restaurant, bar, room service, and events.

  • Handling guest complaints – When issues arise, you’ll handle them calmly and professionally. You know how to listen and offer quick and considerate solutions.

  • Cross-departmental collaboration – You’ll act as a key link between F&B, the kitchen, Front Office, housekeeping, and other departments. Coordination and communication will be essential to success.

  • Feedback and continuous improvement – You’ll actively gather feedback from guests and colleagues and look for ways to further improve our services.

  • Hygiene and safety supervision – You’ll oversee compliance with HACCP regulations and internal hygiene and safety standards throughout the department.

  • Cost control and inventories – You’ll participate in stocktakes, cost monitoring, and tracking key performance indicators.

  • Menu and event development – You’ll collaborate on creating food and beverage menus, pricing strategies, and designing special themed evenings, seasonal events, and unique experiences.

  • Team meetings and internal communication – You’ll take part in regular team meetings and ensure open, effective communication within the department and across the hotel.


Qualifications

Who are we looking for? The ideal candidate:

  • Education or experience in gastronomy/hospitality, or at least 5 years of experience including team leadership
  • Excellent command of Czech and German; English is an advantage
  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment is a plus
  • Ability to lead a team, communicate openly, and handle operational challenges
  • Familiarity with MICROS and Opera systems is an advantage, but proficiency in MS Office is a must
