Job Description

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining HACCP and sanitation standards across all food and beverage operations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, storage, and tracking of equipment, utensils, and cleaning supplies.
  • Monitor breakage, damage, and loss of items, ensuring that proper protocols are followed.
  • Oversee waste management, ensuring efficient practices and adherence to environmental and sustainability guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and managing the daily roster for the stewarding team, including daily hires.
  • Supervise and train the stewarding team to ensure high performance and adherence to departmental standards.
  • Ensure that all kitchens, dining areas, and back-of-house areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Coordinate with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the Chief Steward and assist in problem-solving.
  • Assist in managing the stewarding department’s budget, ensuring that costs are kept within control.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a stewarding or kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to manage inventories and control costs effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to handle breakage, waste, and damage reports in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Thai is required.
