Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Technician provides thorough preventive, curative and corrective maintenance for the Apartments. You do the technical maintenance in the event of a malfunction, and perform the monthly check of the technical installations of the Apartment. You guarantee the proper technical operation of the Apartment. You ensure compliance with the standards and procedures of the brand.

Key tasks

Overview of duties
Ø In conjunction with the Cluster Director of Engineering, helps ensure the smooth running of the apartment’s technical installations
Ø Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.
Ø Service the apartments in case of any breakdowns of equipment's or fixtures in the rooms.

Professional techniques / Production
Ø  To provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following the Standards of Performance.
Ø  To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
Ø  To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub-departments of the engineering Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
Ø  To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department as per Master Task List for that Department.
Ø  Ensures that health, hygiene and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with safety and security standards
Ø To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered
Ø To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times
Ø To ensure a courteous and professional service at all times.

Professional experience
Ø Carries out occasional repair work as required
Ø Prevents problems from occurring in the apartment’s technical installations
Ø Implements the corrective action plans as communicated by the Cluster DOE. Follows the preventive maintenance program
Ø Applies water hygiene procedures
Ø Repairs and maintenance of all types’ equipment in Apartments
Ø Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a apartment or public areas.
Ø Ensures that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
Ø Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as FCU’s

AHU & Chillers
Ø Carries out air conditioning preventive and routine maintenance.
Ø Attends to repairs and maintenance of equipment electrical control system.
Ø Fully aware of ACCOR programs
Ø Fully aware of the ACCOR values
Ø Should perform other duties assigned by superior(s).
Ø Carrying out a regular inspection and cleaning of all air filters.
Ø Responsible to record all the readings, which must be taken & written in the checklist tables.
Ø Continually works with the engineering staff to improve and maintain the highest standard of departmental operation.
Ø Specify the spare parts and have good information about the local market to guide the purchasing.

Generic Aspects on Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment/Confidentiality:

  • Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture entrusted for Heartists use.
  • Be well-familiar with the hotel's policies and procedures, well-acquainted with the physical layout of the hotel and its premises and knowledgeable of the hotel's emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threat, black-out and evacuation.
  • Knows the safety regulations and ensures their application & ensures the safety of people and property in the hotel.
  • Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" of Sustainability program (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc).
  • Understands and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Heartists Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Ensure that confidential records and other confidential information are properly safeguarded and are not removed from the office.
  • Does not disclose any financial information or any other information of the Accor Hotels.
