Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Host/Hostess to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the Guidance of the Outlet Manager you’ll be responsible for creating a perfect first impression on all guests entering the restaurant/bar, while strategizing the flow of clients, securing large parties and events and ensuring guest have a flawless experience:

  • Greet all guests warmly and by name, escort guests to their table, provide chair assistance for all guests, and menu presentation.
  • Host large parties when scheduled.
  • Ensure ambiance is appropriate, including music, temperature, lighting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Approach guest and collect information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements.
  • Constantly provide guests with accurate information about property as well as entertainment offered.
  • Confirm reservations and answer daily email inquiries in timely manner.

Qualifications

What we are looking for...

  • Degree with emphasis in Hospitality/Restaurant management.
  • +2 years of experience in hospitality within hotels/bars with high volume of food & beverage in a similar administrative role.
  • Knowledge of hotel food & beverage operations.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
