Head Chef

We are seeking a dynamic Head Chef to lead our Kitchen team. We want you to innovate the future of our recently refurbished restaurant, Giuseppe’s Cantina. 

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation. You will have culinary flair as well as a motivating leadership style to support your small but enthusiastic team.

• A confident, modern and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation
• A strong understanding of food cost and control
• Experience in month end stock take
• A flexible ‘Heartist’ approach in adapting to guest requests
• Great communication skills and ability to develop a motivated cohesive brigade
• Good computer, spreadsheet, reporting and email skills
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Previous exposure to living in a regional location

Please note that over the Christmas and New Year period each year, our Food & Beverage operations shut down for 4 weeks and you would be required to take leave during this period.
