We have an opportunity for an experienced Duty Technician. This varied role requires you to work on special projects, installations, maintain the building, plant & equipment, fixtures & fittings throughout the Hotel to the required standard. You will ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and employees.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance programs throughout the Hotel. This includes basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning service and repairs.
• Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.
• Ensuring all painted areas are maintained and in good order.
• Performing duties relevant to experience and trade as applicable and also perform other maintenance related tasks as required.
• Assisting other team members in the completion of their duties.

• Experience in general maintenance and repairs (within a hotel environment highly regarded)  

• High level of knowledge in maintenance procedures with a focus on safety  

• Demonstrated ability to work in some or all following areas: plumbing, general electrical, refrigeration, use of power tools, air conditioning, door lock systems, painting, carpentry, and general furniture repairs 

• Excellent customer service skills including fluent written and spoken English

• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts and on weekends
