Job Description

As a Chef De Partie, you will use the finest New Zealand ingredients and traditional cooking methods to create hearty, shared dishes that reflect the vibrant surroundings. You will maintain high culinary standards and ensure adherence to food preparation regulations. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you lead and inspire your team, taking pride in delivering extraordinary culinary experiences. Constantly seeking new challenges, you enjoy using your creativity and staying updated with the latest culinary trends.

  • Maintain open lines of communication between the hotel's Food & Beverage department and other service areas by working with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef
  • Coordinate food production and kitchen brigade to meet food preparation and service requirements, ensuring all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards
  • Verify that all food is handled and kept in accordance with present regulations for food safety and cleanliness
  • Keep track of the daily food and product needs for the kitchen and inform the Executive Chef in advance
  • Follow effective preparation methods and recognized recipes while maintaining an eye on food preparation and wastage expenses


You will be:

  • Previously experience in the culinary industry. 5-star Hotel industry experience is highly advantageous
  • Committed to excellence, demonstrate flexibility to work weekends, and like  collaborating with a driven team in the kitchen
  • A team player who has an immense passion in the culinary industry and aspires to pursue a career as a chef
  • Assisting in the food preparation process. Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality 5-star dishes
  • Ensuring that all food preparation is meeting the required hygiene standards and required standards set by the Executive Chef
