Assistant Bar Manager

The Hoxton, Brussels is our first hotel in Belgium, occupying a brutalist-style tower building and the former European headquarters of IBM. It features 198 rooms of various sizes, a lofty double-height lobby, a bar, a coffee bar, a Peruvian-inspired restaurant - Cantina Valentina, a rooftop bar – TOPE - that offers stunning views across the city, and The Apartment, our unique meetings & events concept.

What you'll do...

• Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do.
• You’ll lead your TOPE team by example, keeping them involved and motivated; helping them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hox experiences for our guests and comfortable turning to you with questions. 
• Set the brand standards for the TOPE bar
• Coordinate with Bar Manager for everyday operation and maintain financial and administrative records. 
• Ensure that there is enough equipment to ensure smooth operations, inventory to follow stock in place and order to be pass accordingly. 
• Increase sales through your innovative and creative approach and reliable advice. 
• Handle guest complaints, ensure satisfaction. 
• Cover for Bar manager when required. 
• Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
