Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused F&B Hostess to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience in our establishment.

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, setting a positive tone for their dining experience
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing table utilization
  • Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions
  • Coordinate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally and promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
  • Monitor dining room capacity and manage wait times effectively
  • Assist in resolving any guest concerns or complaints with empathy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain high service standards
  • Keep up-to-date with menu changes, events, and promotions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an F&B Hostess or in a similar customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong guest engagement abilities and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills for managing reservations and using point-of-sale systems
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking skills and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards
  • Knowledge of local cuisine and culture in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
