Job Description

  • To provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests.
  • To answer telephone calls and handle enquiry’s.
  • To take table reservations and effectively control the flow of the guests in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover.
  • To lead guests to the table and seat them only if the table is fully set-up.
  • To assist in the operation during busy periods.
  • To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu.
  • To ensure that the reception desk and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • To handle guest complaints, requests and inquires on food, beverage and service.
  • To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
  • To maintain and update the restaurant guest history file.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English Language.
