We are currently on the lookout for our next Conference & Events Attendant to join our fun and exciting team. As a C&E attendant, you will be front line for all our guests wants and needs to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. You will be looking after all types of events, from corporate boardroom functions to weddings and birthday celebrations. This is a Casual position. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Point of contact for all guest enquiries
- Assist the C+E Supervisor in ensuring a smooth running of all events
- Assist with pack up and set up of all events
- Ensure tables are set up to high standard
- Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
- Lead, mentor and train new staff
- Running of food and beverages
- Clean up after guests and ensure a clean working environment
- Assist other F&B departments when required (ie Restaurant/bar)
YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
•Have a minimum 12 months experience in a luxury hotel environment
•Be highly organised and able to effectively manage priorities
•Strong focus on guest and team relations. Initiate contact and establish rapport easily
•Project a professional image at all times through personal presentation/interpersonal skills
•Handle tasks carefully and correctly – be thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency
•Display high energy levels and demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
•Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations
•Be good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked
•Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
•Valid RSA
