Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Presser for our laundry operations in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for pressing and finishing a variety of garments to the highest quality standards using industrial pressing equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring that all items are processed accurately and delivered on time to meet customer expectations.
- Operate industrial pressing machines and steam equipment to press garments according to established quality standards
- Inspect garments for defects, stains, or damage before and after pressing
- Sort and organize garments by type, fabric, and color to ensure proper handling
- Apply appropriate pressing techniques based on fabric type and garment construction
- Maintain pressing equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions
- Fold and package pressed garments neatly for delivery or storage
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work station
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining consistent quality standards
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any quality concerns or equipment issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Presser or in a similar laundry/garment finishing role
- Proficiency in operating industrial pressing machines and steam equipment
- Strong knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate pressing techniques
- Ability to identify and address garment defects and quality issues
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with garment care labels and pressing standards
- Reliability and punctuality
