Job Description

Housekeeping Guest Attendant - Full Time

In housekeeping, you are at the heart of hotel operations. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will take ownership of guest rooms and suites, ensuring that every guest experiences an immaculate, luxurious environment and an unforgettable stay.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Consistently delivering thoughtful, professional, and proactive guest service
  • Cleaning and preparing all assigned guestrooms to the highest luxury standards
  • Adhering to daily productivity targets while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail
  • Taking initiative to personalize each guest’s experience through thoughtful touches
  • Ensuring guests’ privacy and security of belongings at all times
  • Following all departmental policies, procedures, and brand service standards
  • Reporting maintenance concerns promptly and accurately
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen rooms
  • Complying with all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Maintaining productivity and quality standards in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Performing other duties as required to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Training, Attendance & Performance Expectations

  • Complete all required onboarding and housekeeping training programs within established timelines
  • Participate in ongoing skills development, refresher training, and brand standard updates
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with scheduling requirements
  • Demonstrate reliability and readiness to work assigned shifts, including peak periods
  • Meet or exceed performance benchmarks related to room quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction scores

Qualifications

What We Are Looking for in This Role

  • A warm, caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset but not required
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs with professionalism and empathy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset
  • A high degree of responsibility, reliability, and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • A calm, courteous demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands of This Role

  • This role requires a high level of physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs frequently
  • Kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching regularly
  • Navigating stairs, service elevators, and ramps as required
  • Repetitive physical movements associated with cleaning tasks (e.g., vacuuming, scrubbing, making beds)

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
