Job Description

As a Spa Therapist at Banyan Tree Dubai, you will be responsible for providing exceptional spa treatments and ensuring that each guest enjoys a peaceful, rejuvenating experience. Your role will involve delivering personalized services tailored to the unique needs of each guest while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Treatments: Provide a variety of spa treatments, including massages, facials, body scrubs, and other wellness services, tailored to the specific needs of each guest.
  • Guest Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with guests to understand their preferences, health concerns, and desired outcomes, ensuring the treatment is customized for maximum benefit.
  • Professional Service: Maintain high standards of hygiene and professionalism, ensuring a relaxing and therapeutic experience for each guest.
  • Guest Care: Ensure that all guests feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed, attending to their needs before, during, and after their treatment.
  • Product Knowledge: Have a deep knowledge of the spa’s products and services, offering expert recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other spa therapists, the spa manager, and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless experience for each guest.
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Ensure that all spa rooms, equipment, and tools are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a high level of cleanliness at all times.
  • Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest spa trends, techniques, and wellness practices to continuously improve and develop your skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury spa environment.
  • Certification: Relevant certifications in massage therapy and spa treatments, including internationally recognized qualifications (e.g., ITEC, CIDESCO, CIBTAC).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of various massage techniques, body treatments, skincare, and wellness practices.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests, offering personalized recommendations and building rapport.
  • Customer-Focused: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and attention to detail.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical treatments for extended periods while maintaining energy and focus.
  • Positive Attitude: A friendly, approachable, and caring demeanor, with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and contributing to the overall wellness journey of each guest.
