Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our luxury hotel kitchen brigade. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills, lead a dynamic team, and create exceptional dining experiences alongside the Head Chef.

• Assist in leading the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative menus and uphold culinary excellence.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with HACCP regulations.
• Train, mentor, and inspire junior chefs to uphold Sofitel’s commitment to quality and service.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory control, rostering, and cost management.
• Focus on lunch/dinner à la carte service and hotel banqueting
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior leadership role in a luxury or high-end dining environment.
• Must have strong experience in à la carte dining and high-volume banqueting, delivering exceptional quality in both fast-paced and fine dining environments.
• A passion for fine food, creativity, and modern culinary techniques.
• Strong leadership and team management skills to drive performance and excellence.
• A focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality cuisine.
• A commitment to maintaining kitchen standards, hygiene, and safety protocols.
• Formal culinary qualifications.
