Job Description

  • Step into a leadership role during the absence of the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Sous Chef, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and overall team coordination
  • Lead by example through a passion for authentic cooking techniques and sourcing local, high-quality produce to create bold, flavour-driven dishes that elevate the guest experience
  • Enforce strict food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring all storage, handling, and preparation procedures comply with legal and internal standards
  • Support cost management by monitoring stock requisitions and purchasing, ensuring quality ingredients are available as needed while staying within budget
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining exceptional quality and consistency while strictly following recipes and upholding high culinary standards

Qualifications

You will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie in a large-scale, 5-star hotel setting, with a strong track record of leadership and team support
  • A passion for guiding and developing junior chefs, with a genuine commitment to nurturing talent and growing future leaders in hospitality
  • The confidence and skill to thrive in a high-pressure production kitchen, delivering excellence across both buffet and à la carte services
  • The ability to operate confidently across all areas of the kitchen including functions, pastry, hot section, saucier, entremets, and larder
  • A creative, detail-focused mindset, always seeking ways to enhance guest experiences and push culinary boundaries
