Job Description

Seasonal Housekeeping Guest Attendant - Full Time

As a Seasonal Guest Attendant in Housekeeping, you play a vital role in delivering the luxury experience that defines Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms and suites to the highest standards.

In this role, you help create memorable stays by ensuring every guest enters a spotless, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared space.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Delivering consistent, professional, and proactive guest service
  • Cleaning and preparing assigned guestrooms to luxury brand standards
  • Meeting daily productivity targets while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Personalizing guest experiences through thoughtful presentation and care
  • Ensuring guest privacy and security of belongings at all times
  • Following all brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly and accurately
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of carts, storage areas, and linen rooms
  • Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with WHMIS standards
  • Supporting smooth daily operations through teamwork and flexibility
  • Performing additional duties as required

Training, Attendance & Performance Expectations

  • Complete all required onboarding and housekeeping training within set timelines
  • Participate in ongoing skills development and brand standard refreshers
  • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and shift reliability
  • Be available for peak operational periods, including weekends and holidays
  • Meet established standards for room quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction
  • Meet or exceed performance benchmarks related to room quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction scores

Qualifications

What We Are Looking for in This Role

  • A warm, service-oriented personality (housekeeping experience is an asset but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs with professionalism and care
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • High reliability, accountability, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday
  • Applicants must be able to commit to the full seasonal period (May through October 2026)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Regular bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Use of stairs, service elevators, and ramps as required
  • Repetitive cleaning tasks including bed-making, vacuuming, and scrubbing

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
