Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North

Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Meryal Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Ride Technician

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rides, attractions, and all related equipment in the waterpark.

• Able to maintain and repair all attractions and rides following the highest standards of safety
• Able to identify maintenance risks on equipment
• Able to diagnose any faults for all attractions and rides in the waterpark 
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rides and equipment, ensuring complete compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications and waterpark standards
• Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
• Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance work performed while on duty, paper and electronic
• Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order requests for items needed
• Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
• Report all potential hazards, safety concerns, and accidents immediately 
• Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the waterpark
• Comply with Health and Safety Regulations

• Secondary / High school education
• Qualification in Trades Technician level, variety of engineering/maintenance
• Basic computer skills in MS Office and ability to use BMS
• Good proficiency in the English language
