Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy, documenting deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.

Starting Rate: $20.57 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.28.

Job Duties Include: 

• Inspect all deliveries for quality, quantity, and accuracy, noting any discrepancies or damage, and ensure all shipments include a valid Purchase Order.
• Accurately receive and process Purchase Orders in the Birchstreet Procurement System and communicate with Purchasing Managers to coordinate timely retrieval of deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized loading dock and assist with organizing and distributing food items and guest/convention packages to secure storage areas.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and truck drivers to support seamless operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and perform additional duties as required to ensure operational efficiency.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Lifting up to 35 kg (77 lbs)
• Pushing and pulling a cart of 200 kg (450 lbs)
• Bending, standing, reaching, walking throughout the shift

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email
• Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
