Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Officer to join our team . As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in our organization's procurement process, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.

  • Process and edit purchase requests from various departments
  • Correspond with suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate favorable terms
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Maintain detailed records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to identify the most cost-effective suppliers
  • Proactively communicate with colleagues and suppliers regarding order status and resolve any issues
  • Assist departments in raising purchase requests using company systems
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills
