Project Manager - Hotel Construction & Design

Region

Europe and North Africa

Company Description

Every other day, somewhere in our region, a new hotel opens its doors. From the first architectural sketch to the moment a guest checks in, a project team makes it happen – on time, on budget, and on brand.

We're looking for a Project Manager to join Accor's Design & Technical Services Team in Budapest and help bring these projects to life across 19 countries.

ABOUT ACCOR
Accor is one of the world's leading hospitality groups, with over 5,800 hotels across 110 countries and more than 45 hotel brands — from economy to ultra-luxury. Our Design & Technical Services team based in Budapest supports hotel openings, renovations and conversions across Eastern Europe, working directly with owners, architects and operators to ensure every project meets Accor's brand standards and exceeds guest expectations.

Job Description

THE ROLE
This is a project management-focused position within the Design & Technical Services function. You'll coordinate complex hotel projects across the region from Economy brand to Premium brand – managing timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and documentation – while maintaining an understanding of construction and design processes. You'll work with real autonomy and direct access to hotel owners, architects and consultants.

The role is based in Budapest with on-site visits across the region based on Technical assistant contract agreed with hotel owners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage hotel projects across Eastern Europe – construction, renovation, conversion – from the first planning meeting to the final room inspection as owner advises.
  • Review project plans, timelines, milestones, budget frameworks and consultant responsibilities; track progress and proactively manage risks and delays
  • Coordinate all stakeholders – hotel owners, architects, interior designers, engineers and internal Accor teams – facilitate alignment and hold everyone accountable for their deliverables
  • Lead the selection and management of external consultants: define scopes, negotiate fees, and ensure quality of output throughout the project
  • Oversee design and technical coordination phases: review architectural concepts, interior design documentation, space planning layouts and construction drawings for compliance with Accor brand standards
  • Work with internal departments (Operations, F&B, Technology, Spa & Wellness, Procurement) to integrate their requirements into each project
  • Prepare project documentation: design briefs, consultant matrices, milestone reports; organise and present materials for Brand Validation sessions and Design Committees
  • Review and sign off on materials boards, mock-ups, FF&E schedules and sample approvals
  • Support final inspections of model rooms and construction milestones to ensure quality and brand compliance
  • Travel to project sites across the region (flights and car rental covered by Accor)
  • Work closely with the VP Design & Technical Services and build long-term relationships with owners and consultants across Europe

Qualifications

  • Advanced (5+ years) project management experience, preferably in hotel design and construction
  • Background in architecture, civil engineering, interior design or a related technical field
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Autonomous, proactive and comfortable managing several complex projects at once
  • Fluent English; additional Eastern European languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to occasionally travel across Eastern Europe (flights and/or rental cars covered by Accor)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or design tools

Additional Information

  • Competitive salary; package of benefits and perks of working for Accor, including discounts for hotels worldwide, and much more
  • A unique regional scope: projects spanning from the Czech Republic and Hungary to the Western Balkans and beyond
  • Genuine autonomy and ownership in your work
  • An international team and a multicultural working environment
  • Budapest office base with regular travel across the region
  • Hybrid way of working
  • Career development opportunities within one of the world's largest hospitality groups
  • Access to a comprehensive training catalogue within our Accor Academy
