As the world and Toronto move toward a more sustainable future, our landmark hotel is in a stunning transformation for the zero-carbon century ahead.

• Complete all pots/pans washing tasks as assigned and maintain the highest level of Fairmont Hotels Standard.
• Keep all immediate work areas clean and free from debris while adhering to all health and safety procedures of the hotel and kitchen.
• Collect pots and pans from kitchen areas throughout the hotel.
• Operate and maintain the pot washing machine.
• Wash all pots and pans in pot washer.
• Store pots and wares for further use.
• Distribute ware washing products to appropriate areas, i.e. roasting pans, pots, pans, muffins pans, fifty pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of working area.
• Follow all health and safety rules outlined by the department and the hotel.
• Follow all health and safety rules as outlined by the department and the hotel. Ensure that all ECOSURE standards + processes are completed on a daily basis in their area of the department. This includes but isn’t limited to filling out daily dishwasher/pot washer temperature logs.
• Uphold the highest standard of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.

• Must be a highly motivated individual.
• Must have a good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Must be flexible with shift work hours.
• Prior experience an asset.
• Must be able to perform physically under pressure.
• Must be able to handle a hot working environment.
• Must be able to operate, lift, push and pull heavy equipment.

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following: 

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
• Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
