Job Description

Job Summary:

As an In-Room Dining Order Taker at Raffles & Fairmont Doha, you will be the first point of contact for our guests ordering private dining services. With a passion for personalized service, you will ensure each guest interaction reflects our commitment to luxury, elegance, and attention to detail. You will handle all room service orders with professionalism, accuracy, and warmth, contributing to a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all in-room dining calls promptly, courteously, and professionally using the hotel's standards of telephone etiquette.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, up-selling when appropriate, and entering them correctly into the POS system.

  • Provide detailed information on menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary considerations.

  • Communicate special requests, allergies, and other important notes to kitchen and service staff clearly and accurately.

  • Coordinate order timings and follow up with service staff to ensure prompt delivery.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of current promotions, seasonal menus, and special offerings.

  • Assist with guest follow-ups and ensure all requests are met to satisfaction.

  • Handle guest complaints or concerns gracefully and report them to management when necessary.

  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times.

  • Support other F&B operations as required during peak periods or special events.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or similar upscale dining environment preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English; Arabic or additional languages are an asset.

  • Proficiency in using POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent telephone manners and guest service skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure.

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and personalized service.
