Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Taker to join our dynamic team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll be the voice of our organization, delivering exceptional service by accurately capturing and processing customer orders while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy will ensure every customer interaction is memorable and every order is executed flawlessly.

  • Answer incoming orders promptly using proper telephone etiquette and professional communication standards
  • Accurately record customer orders in the POS system, ensuring all details are captured correctly, including preferences, special requests, and any dietary restrictions or allergies
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, pricing, and current promotions to customers
  • Actively listen to customer needs and offer thoughtful recommendations to enhance their experience
  • Upsell menu items and promote daily specials in a consultative and non-intrusive manner
  • Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
  • Confirm order details, pricing, and estimated delivery or pickup times with customers
  • Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Verify billing accuracy and ensure proper posting of charges to customer accounts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient order-taking workspace
  • Participate actively in shift briefings, training sessions, and team meetings
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and organizational policies
  • Analyze order patterns and provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or hospitality training preferred
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, restaurant operations, call center environments, or similar customer-facing roles is an advantage
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and strong verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills; ability to learn new software quickly
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
  • Active listening skills and genuine empathy for customer needs
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
  • Accuracy in data entry and order processing
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are highly valued
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive and inclusive approach
  • Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences

Additional Information

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
