Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To utilize education and experience in the efficient operation, maintenance and

repair of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and

furnishings for the hotel facility and associated buildings.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 You are required to work a 48 hours per week

 You are required to take 15 minutes breakfast half an hour for lunch each day at the Staff

canteen 15 minutes tea break half an hour for dinner

 You are required to take proper care of all material and tool

 Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems

 Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment

breakdowns

 Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs

 Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records

 Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies

 Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings

 Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment

 Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations

 Install, maintain, and repair generator systems and components

 Inspect and troubleshoot generator systems and components

 Test and adjust generator systems and components

 Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of generator systems and components

 Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and other issues with generator systems and components

 Monitor generator performance and report any issues

 Install, maintain, and repair generator systems and components

 Responsible for complete PPM, break down maintenance, repair works and corrective works

of all buggies

 To make sure that all buggy units are serviced as per the recommendations of the

manufacturers O/M manuals

 Ensures the application and the execution of good preventive maintenance for related

machineries.

 Directly responsible for their smooth operation of buggies

 Is responsible for the maintenance of interior and exterior of buggies

 Timely updates the preventive maintenance program

 Is responsible for ordering and stocking of spare parts for continuous operation of buggies,

cycles and electric scooters

 Maintains the cleanliness of the work place and ensures the self and environmental safety.

 To make sure at all times that buggies, are fully roadworthy and that any defect is reported

and rectified

 To ensure that all communications to external departments or entities is conducted in a

professional and timely manner

 Complete all planned maintenance reports and spare part ordering to maintain equipment

to first class operating condition. Any modifications to the equipment to improve safety and

reliability to be performed ASAP

 Advises on the need for purchase of special paints, thinners, brushes, rollers and other

materials necessary to the job

 Assists other employees in the department as required

 Liaise with clients &/or other relevant personal.

 Keep clients informed of tasks completed &/or timeframes to complete tasks

 Adheres to all company safety guidelines

 Meets company attendance requirements

 Meets company uniform appearance and grooming standards

 You are required to keep your working environment clean and tidy free from all

potential hazard

 Self-started and proactive profile

 Should be able to check your stock level needed during your shift duty

 Work with other department, the jobs get do be done,

 You should be flexible towards tasks assigned to him to work odd hours

 make sure that all machineries are working properly

 Keep the record of fuel used for generators

 Monitor and records all the operational data which are related to distribution of power

 In the event of power interruption he should be familiar with the basic troubleshooting

 Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determine the same as and when

required

 Maintain the plant operation equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly condition

 Ability to work extended hours if and when required

 Respond to emergencies such as fire and environmental hazards

 You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related

duties as assigned by the management. The hotel reserves the right to update, revise or

change this job description and related duties at any time

General Manager or any other manager senior to yourself.


Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS)

 Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering technology (MIT), or similar

 Certificate/diploma in related field

 Knowledge in basic health and safety related to this field and you are require to abide

to

 A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.

 Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and

repairs

 Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software

 Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

 Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 Great organizational and time management abilities
