Job Description

Solve electrical problems to ensure uninterrupted operation of the system;

Perform daily mechanical maintenance work;

Be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment such as laundry and kitchen equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, as well as their motors, pumps, fans, water treatment mechanisms, fire elevators, safety equipment and systems;

Perform preventive maintenance/work requirements according to established quality standards;

Assist in the placement of all fire protection equipment in the area;

Be aware of the hotel's emergency/fire alarms;

To comply with the rules of processing and storage of permanent and portable (small in size, suitable for transportation) equipment necessary for work;

To carry out the assigned work in a short time in accordance with Fairmont Baku standards;

Report supply issues and deficiencies directly to the manager and eliminate these deficiencies in appropriate places;

Checking the details of the equipment, informing about the problems and directly to the manager and solving the problem in a short time;

Use repair tools (pliers, hammer, etc.) with care;

To make proposals for adding certain innovations to the existing system to further increase work productivity;

Prepare a list of spare parts for the requirements of the department and inform the head directly;

Be aware of annual maintenance plans and related periodic maintenance requirements;

Perform all types of repair, arrangement and maintenance work in the entire hotel area, including new additions/enhancements to the annual maintenance plans;

Regularly participate in trainings and apply the acquired knowledge in their daily work;

To organize high-level maintenance works for guests and hotel employees;

To assist hotel employees and guests in a courteous manner;

Maintenance and repair of equipment and supplies of guest rooms, public and back areas entrusted to him realise;

To be responsible for the safe storage and use of permanent and temporary equipment belonging to the hotel while performing the required work;

To be sufficiently informed about the work of the department and to help other employees of the department when appropriate;

Report supply issues and deficiencies directly to the manager and eliminate these deficiencies in appropriate places;

Properly place and use ladders and other types of support equipment;

Comply with hotel health and safety regulations, create safe working conditions, and know all safety and emergency procedures;

To use the Equipment effectively;

Be aware of the hotel's alarm/fire alarms;

To observe the operation and maintenance standards and safety rules of tools and all equipment;

To participate in safety trainings;

To carry out daily work and report directly to the manager;

Detect and promptly repair any defects and malfunctions and report to management;

 Work in accordance with standard and safety rules in the work process;

Manage time correctly and complete assigned tasks on time;

Actively participate continuously in meetings related to the Department;

To carry out tasks related to daily activities in the assignment sheet given by the direct supervisor and to report directly to the supervisor at the end of the work shift;

Immediately report lost and found items to direct supervisor, report to Security Department in accordance with Hotel policies and guidelines;

To control compliance with the requirements stipulated in the rules regarding appearance (dressing rules);

Understand and adhere to all departmental guidelines and policies;

Participate in the daily handover process;

Participate in in-house training on chemicals and their proper use;

Proper use of FMV;

Observing the rules of conduct in the hotel area (keeping calm, not using unethical words);

To perform other duties determined by the direct manager;

To know the basics of labor and production organization, norms and rules of labor protection, safety equipment, industrial sanitation and fire protection;


Qualifications

- At least 3 years of relevant experience

-Graduated from a technical school related to mechanical/refrigeration/steam generator/heating and air conditioning system/plumbing field or a certain vocational education

- Have general mechanical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general technical equipment

- Fluent Azerbaijani language

-English and Russian (desirable)

- Ability and responsibility to independently complete any  assigned task without supervision

- Relevant technical equipment experience

- Ability to work in a team

- Willingness to continuously develop and learn

             - Accuracy in work and ability to pay attention to details;
