Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking and pro-active Marketing Assistant with a skill set to communicate and implement compelling strategies in the form of content design, visual guide and photography.

What you will be doing:

  • To keep all our social media profiles updated as well as answer customer queries posted on the profiles.
  • Prepare unique, specific and relevant content for social media profiles.
  • Activate and maintain a LinkedIn profile for Ibis Styles Westlands.
  • Support the development of posters, menus, flyers, and other in-house marketing materials using templates and brand tools.
  • Responsible for social Media and E-Shot calendar.
  • To ensure all clients communicating with us online receive exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Understand, anticipate and guide walk in clients on specific needs related to marketing i.e. photoshoots, events etc.
  • To ensure smooth operation of the Marketing department at all times.
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
  • Support marketing executives in organizing various projects.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires.
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information.
  • Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (hospitality or lifestyle brand preferred).
  • Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.
  • Basic graphic design and photography/videography skills are a strong advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative, organized, and detail-oriented team player.
