We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Marketing & Communications Manager. The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, content, and digital strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue across all areas of the resort. This highly creative and collaborative role will help define and amplify Fairmont Southampton’s luxury brand positioning through compelling storytelling, innovative campaigns, and best-in-class digital experiences.
Working closely with resort leadership and cross-functional teams, you will oversee content creation, social media, digital marketing, media relations, and brand communications while supporting the successful relaunch and ongoing growth of the resort.
Brand Marketing & Content Strategy
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that support resort business objectives, brand awareness, revenue growth, and guest engagement.
- Create compelling brand stories and content that showcase the resort’s accommodations, dining experiences, spa, golf, Beach Club, events, and community initiatives.
- Ensure all marketing materials and communications reflect Fairmont brand standards, luxury positioning, and visual excellence.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the resort’s brand identity through innovative creative concepts and storytelling.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Manage the resort's digital presence across website, social media, travel platforms, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Maintain the resort-wide marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Beach Club, Membership, Golf, Spa, and Events.
- Develop and oversee content calendars for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging digital platforms as appropriate.
- Create, curate, and publish engaging content including photography, video, motion graphics, stories, blogs, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Utilize guest engagement platforms such as WhatsApp and Messenger to enhance communication, personalization, and guest experience where appropriate.
- Monitor emerging digital trends, technologies, and platforms to identify opportunities for innovation and audience growth.
Creative Development & Campaign Execution
- Design visually compelling marketing collateral, digital assets, presentations, and promotional materials that reinforce the resort’s luxury image.
- Lead the execution of marketing campaigns from concept through delivery, ensuring consistency across all guest touchpoints.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to streamline content creation, campaign management, reporting, personalization, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external creative partners to produce high-quality content and marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate marketing project timelines, approvals, asset development, and stakeholder communication to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and on brand.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, photographers, videographers, freelancers, and production partners to support marketing initiatives and content creation.
Public Relations & Brand Visibility
- Assist in developing and executing public relations initiatives that strengthen the resort’s reputation and visibility locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with media, influencers, content creators, tourism partners, and brand collaborators to expand reach, generate high-value content, and drive awareness.
- Prepare press materials, media pitches, feature stories, and promotional content that support resort initiatives and key announcements.
- Support media visits, influencer partnerships, events, and promotional activations designed to elevate brand awareness and engagement.
Collaboration & Performance Management
- Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Food & Beverage, Spa, Golf, and Events teams to deliver integrated campaigns that drive business objectives and revenue. Serve as the primary marketing contact for resort stakeholders, escalating strategic, reputational, financial, or brand-sensitive matters as needed.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance through key metrics including website traffic, social engagement, lead generation, conversion rates, campaign ROI, audience growth, direct bookings, and revenue attribution.
- Utilize insights from analytics, guest feedback, and market trends to continuously refine marketing strategies and improve results.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership regarding campaign effectiveness, opportunities, and emerging market trends.
- Assist with budget tracking, purchase orders, invoicing, and reporting against approved marketing spend.

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, content creation, digital marketing, or brand management, preferably within luxury hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, content strategies, and social media initiatives that drive measurable business results.
- Experience supporting luxury resorts, destination brands, or major pre-opening and repositioning projects is highly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
Competencies, Knowledge & Skills
- Strong creative portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling, content development, campaign execution, and brand marketing.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects; experience with Canva and motion graphics platforms is an asset.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content management systems, digital advertising, email marketing, and online engagement strategies.
- Experience using analytics and reporting platforms including Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI-powered marketing technologies including ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Canva Magic Studio, Jasper, Meta Advantage+, and related tools.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities with attention to detail and deadlines.
