Here is where your greatest challenge awaits you:

The ACCOR Group is overhauling its hotel product distribution system, focusing on an API-based architecture, migration to the cloud, and adoption of best engineering practices.

The NGA Offer & Core Capabilities team is looking for a Tech Lead to oversee the evolution of the Offer department and accelerate the adoption of engineering practices.

The team consists of a Product Owner, a QA, and 2 to 3 developers.

Technical environment: Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD (GitLab, GitLab CI)

Your mission:

As Tech Lead, you will play a key role in this transformation, with the following responsibilities:

  • Implementing the ‘you build it, you manage it’ principle to ensure the quality and reliability of the service in production, including on-call management.
  • Designing and developing robust, high-performance technical solutions tailored to the needs of the project, using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and MongoDB.
  • Guide and coach the development team on engineering best practices, including TDD, code reviews, peer programming and refactoring.
  • Defining and monitoring code quality and performance metrics, and implementing the necessary measurement and monitoring tools.
  • Ensuring that technical choices are aligned with the overall system architecture and business needs.
  • Monitoring technological developments and proposing innovations to optimise the user experience and increase product value.
  • Actively participating in the team's agile processes in collaboration with the Product Owner (PO) and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

And you?  

You have at least 6 years' experience in software engineering and architecture, including 3 years as a Tech Lead or similar role, with expertise in AWS, Terraform and CI/CD (GitLab, GitLab CI).

  • Proven experience in highly constrained environments (high traffic, high performance, large volumes of data).
  • Good knowledge of agile methodologies and engineering practices (Innersource experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, organise and prioritise effectively while resolving problems proactively.
  • Excellent command of English (oral and written), with a data-driven approach and strong team spirit.
