Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Meryal Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.


Job Description

Information & Technology (IT) Supervisor

The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the effective functioning of IT systems, providing technical support, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role includes managing IT infrastructure, coordinating support services, maintaining system security, and implementing IT projects that align with organizational goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of the IT team.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of all IT systems including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
  • Monitor performance of IT systems and suggest improvements.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Provide second and third-level technical support and resolve escalated issues.
  • Enforce IT policies and procedures and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Coordinate IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and data backups.
  • Train and mentor IT staff; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, team productivity, and IT incidents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support or network/system administration.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role preferrably in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, hardware troubleshooting, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, cloud services, and enterprise software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
