    Job Description

    We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Palliser as our new In Room Dining Server. Inspire and create the grandest experience for our guest, clients and colleagues every day.

    Join our prestigious team as an In Room Dining Server, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valuable guests within the comfort and privacy of their rooms. As a vital member of our luxury hospitality environment, you will embody our commitment to unparalleled service and attention to detail. Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide personalized and attentive service to guests, ensuring their dining preferences and special requests are met with precision and care.
    • Adhere to Food and Beverage standards and Fairmont Palliser policies to ensure a luxury experience for our guests.
    • Effectively communicate with kitchen and service staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of orders, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality.
    • Uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization in all aspects of service, including room table setup, presentation of amenities, and maintenance of service area
    • Responsible for clearing all the trays and tables on each floor and ensuring the dishwasher area is well-organized, with a focus on preventing dirty carts from accumulating in the vicinity of the dishwasher
    • Ensuring that all the monthly side duties for your department are completed successfully.
    • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed and has the knowledge and tools to work safely.
    • Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies are followed at all times.
    • Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies, procedures and programs at the hotel.

    Qualifications

    What will you bring to this role?

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in luxury hospitality with a proven passion for delivering exceptional service experiences.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and create genuine connections with guests.
    • Proficiency in English — ability to read, speak, and understand the language is essential.
    • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet guest needs and ensure seamless service delivery
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
    • Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in all aspects of your role.
