HVAC Technician

We are looking for a HVAC Technician to join the pre-opening of SLS The Red Sea.

Ennismore, with its luxury brand SLS Hotels, is currently opening a magnificent project in the oasis that is The Red Sea. SLS The Red Sea is planned to open in 2025.

Job Overview:
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within the hotel. Your primary duties will include diagnosing and fixing HVAC issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues, such as leaks, malfunctions, and inefficiencies, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of HVAC systems and prevent potential issues.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to HVAC emergencies, providing immediate repairs to minimize disruption to hotel operations and guest services.
- Compliance: Ensure all HVAC work complies with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and hotel policies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all HVAC activities, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to address HVAC needs and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Customer Service: Interact courteously with guests and staff, addressing HVAC-related concerns and providing excellent customer service.
 

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program or trade school is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.
- Skills:
  - Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
  - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  - Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  - Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in HVAC, such as EPA certification.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to HVAC work.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to address guest concerns and ensure a positive guest experience.
