Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Housekeeping Associate to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.

  • Clean and maintain assigned areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and standards to ensure consistent quality
  • Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
  • Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public areas
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaned rooms and completed tasks
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols at all times
  • Assist with laundry services as needed

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in various cleaning techniques and procedures
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management for cleaning supplies
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality industry preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant certifications in housekeeping or hospitality a plus
